NOVELTY - The method for preparing adsorbent involves immersing sisal residue in sodium hydroxide solution, washing with water to obtain sisal pulp cellulose, adding sodium polyacrylate and water, heating to obtain modified sisal residue, adding Sargassum powder and thiourea, adding water for ultrasonic reaction, drying to obtain modified Sargassum powder, adding modified sisal residue and modified Sargassum powder, adding graphene and cassava starch, adding water to form paste, heating, cooling and grinding to obtain adsorbent. USE - Method for preparing adsorbent for removing copper ions from industrial waste water. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of adsorbent with excellent adsorption performance, specific surface area of 180-250 m2/g, and adsorption rate of less than or equal to 95%. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for preparing adsorbent, involves weighing sisal residue, sodium polyacrylate, Sargassum powder, thiourea, graphene and cassava starch in a mass ratio of 100:8-12:40-50:5-10:5-10:10-15, crushing 100 pts. wt. sisal residue, immersing sisal residue in sodium hydroxide solution for 4-6 hours, washing with water to neutral to obtain sisal pulp cellulose, adding 8-12 pts. wt. sodium polyacrylate and 100-150 pts. wt. water to sisal pulp cellulose, mixing uniformly, heating at 70-80 degrees C for 2-3 hours to obtain modified sisal residue, adding 40-50 pts. wt. Sargassum powder and 5-10 pts. wt. thiourea to ultrasonic stirrer, adding appropriate amount of water for ultrasonic reaction, drying the obtained reacted paste in an oven at 70-90 degrees C for 1-2 hours to obtain modified Sargassum powder, adding modified sisal residue and modified Sargassum powder to blender, adding 5-10 pts. wt. graphene and 10-15 pts. wt. cassava starch, adding water to form paste, placing the paste in microwave heating apparatus, heating at 80-120 degrees C for 60-90 minutes, cooling to room temperature and grinding to obtain copper ion adsorbent.
