NOVELTY - Preparing porous two-dimensional carbon nitride/graphene/carbon nitride sandwich structure photo-catalytic material comprises (i) synthesizing graphene oxide nano-sheets by using improved Hummer method; and (ii) synthesizing porous two-dimensional carbon nitride/graphene/carbon nitride sandwich structure, dispersing melamine in water in a solid-liquid ratio of 0.15-0.3:40-700 g/ml by ultrasound and stirring, dispersing graphene oxide nano-sheets uniformly in water in a solid-liquid ratio of 0.005-0.016:8-12 g/ml under continuous stirring, dropping the graphene oxide dispersion into the melamine dispersion, stirring, then evaporating the water to obtain opaque powder, calcining the obtained powders respectively in a nitrogen atmosphere and calcining in an air atmosphere, and recording as graphene oxide carbon nitride. USE - The material is useful for photocatalytic hydrogen production (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is environmentally-friendly, does not need post-treatment process of the toxic reagent, realizes significant improvement in photo-catalytic hydrogen production activity, and reaches hydrogen production rate up to 12.48 mmol g/hour and 32 times higher under same condition.
