NOVELTY - Preparation of hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) based photolysis water hydrogen preparation catalyst comprises weighing boron source, carbon source and nitrogen source, adding into solvent A comprising deionized water, ethanol and/or isopropanol, fully stirring and dispersing, and evaporating to dryness to obtain doped h-BN precursor; entering precursor into tubular furnace, and calcining under the inert atmosphere at 500-1000℃ for 0.5-12 hours at heating rate of 1-10℃/minute to obtain doped h-BN; weighing metal salt, indium salt and sulfur source, adding into solvent B, fully stirring and dissolving, and forming indium sulfide (MIn2S4) precursor solution; weighing doped h-BN, adding to MIn2S4precursor solution, and stirring to fully disperse; and adding solution in reaction kettle, reacting at 150-220℃ for 6-48 hours, cleaning, and drying. USE - The method is for preparing h-BN based photolysis water hydrogen preparation catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The method uses doped hBN as carrier, and synthesizes MIn2S4/h-BN composite material to improve photolysis product hydrogen efficiency.
