NOVELTY - A polymer brush type magnetic graphene oxide absorbing material comprises graphene oxide, magnetic ferrous ferric oxide, polydopamine and polymer brush. The magnetic ferrous ferric oxide is nanoparticle dispersed on surface of graphene oxide forming magnetic graphene oxide. The polydopamine covers surface of magnetic graphene oxide. The polymer brush is grafted on polydopamine. The polymer brush comprises sodium poly (4-vinylbenzene sulfonate-co-methacryloyloxyethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride). USE - Polymer brush type magnetic graphene oxide absorbing material. ADVANTAGE - The material improves adsorption selectivity and adsorption capacity. The method has uniform graft layer and high graft density, improves functional group density, uses graphene with large specific surface area as substrate, and combines high graft characteristic of surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (SI-ATRP) technology to graft polymer brush. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the polymer brush type magnetic graphene oxide absorbing material comprising self-polymerizing magnetic graphene oxide, coating magnetic graphene oxide surface with polydopamine, using as substrate, applying surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization technology, and grafting polymer brush on polydopamine.
