NOVELTY - Composite (10) comprises a sheath; a magnesium-containing powder tube (200) positioned inside the sheath; and boron-containing powder (300) filled in the magnesium-containing powder tube. The sheath contains niobium, iron, nickel, stainless steel, titanium, tantalum, copper and/or silver. The boron-containing powder is boron powder or a mixed powder of magnesium and boron. The boron-containing powder contains silicon carbide, graphene, carbon nanotubes, hydrocarbons, organic acids and/or carbohydrates. USE - The composite is useful for manufacturing magnesium diboride superconducting wires. ADVANTAGE - The composite has high powder packing density and excellent formability, and maintains improved superconducting properties while maintaining magnesium diboride with homogeneous and wholesome texture.
