NOVELTY - Dye-sensitized solar cell (100) comprises: a first conductive substrate (10) as a top layer of the cell, where the first conductive substrate is a glass substrate coated with a transparent conductive oxide; a semiconductor (20) layered below the first conductive substrate; a sensitizer (30) layered between the semiconductor and an electrolyte (40), where the sensitizer is a combination of a natural dye and an inorganic dye; the electrolyte layered between the sensitizer and a catalyst; the catalyst layered between the electrolyte and a second conductive substrate, where the catalyst is either platinum or graphene or any other suitable catalyst material that has high electrocatalytic activity and corrosive resistance; and the second conductive substrate as a bottom layer of the dyesensitized solar cell, where the second conductive substrate is a glass substrate coated with a transparent conductive oxide, and the natural dye is a combination of lemongrass extract and turmeric extract. USE - The solar cell is useful as window or glass balcony in building system. ADVANTAGE - The solar cell: improves the efficiency of a thin film solar cell; can be suitably implemented in a building system to reduce the electric consumption; can be suitably made as a window or a glass balcony it is a transparent material; and is colorized as a result of the dyes color, thus making its application as a window or a glass balcony becomes more attractive.
