NOVELTY - Nanofiber material for filtering mercury in water, is made of graphene oxide, polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinyl alcohol and an auxiliary agent, and is first prepared by a solution spray spinning technique. The organic fiber is prepared by reacting the nano-sized organic fiber with Tris-dopamine buffer solution, where graphene oxide has a mass concentration of 5 to 8 wt.%, and in weight ratio of polyvinylpyrrolidone and polyvinyl alcohol is 5:1 to 25:1, preferably 15:1. The concentration of the graphene oxide is 5-8 wt.%. USE - Nanofiber material for filtering mercury in water (claimed) for large-scale industrial production. ADVANTAGE - The nanofiber material is prepared in simple and cost effective manner, has has uniform fiber diameter distribution, high fiber intensity, high filter absorption efficiency. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing nanofiber material, which involves: (A) weighing polyvinylpyrrolidone and polyvinyl alcohol in weight ratio of 5:1 to 25:1 and vacuum drying; (B) adding polyvinylpyrrolidone and polyvinyl alcohol to an organic solvent, ultrasonically stirring at 45 degrees C; (C) mixing uniform, and then adding 5-8 wt.% graphene oxide, and ultrasonically stirring to obtain uniform dispersion; (D) adding polymer solution, where organic solvent is dimethyl sulfoxide, ethyl acetate, acetone, N,N-dimethyl amide; (E) adding polymer solution, metering by a metering pump and entering the spinneret.
