NOVELTY - A hybrid sodium-carbon dioxide secondary battery comprises a negative electrode portion containing a current collector (A), sodium metal and an organic electrolyte, a positive electrode portion containing a current collector (B), a metal-carbon composite catalyst and an aqueous electrolyte, and a solid electrolyte positioned between the negative electrode portion and the positive electrode portion. USE - Hybrid sodium-carbon dioxide secondary battery used in composite system for producing carbon compounds (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The battery is efficient, and provides flexible electric energy. The system provides carbon compounds having improved yield and high quality during discharging, and efficiently uses energy by storing and conversion by using composite catalyst having excellent activity and selectivity for reduction reaction of carbon dioxide in the positive electrode. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for production of carbon compound of carbon dioxide.
