NOVELTY - Polymer resin (I) with polyethylene glycol side chain structure is new. USE - (I) is useful as a binder for preparing power storage electrode. ADVANTAGE - (I): solves the problem that unmodified pure polyethersulfone or polyetherketone polymers limit the conductivity between electrode active materials and conductive media and current collectors, which can achieve a good wetting effect between the electrolyte and the electrode, thus the lithium ions are rapidly transported back and forth between the electrode active material and the electrolyte; can play a good infiltration effect between the electrolyte and the electrode, thus the lithium ions are quickly transported back and forth between the electrode active material and the electrolyte; has sufficient adhesion and bonding strength as binders for binding electrode active material and the conductive medium on the current collector, which is not easy to crack and lose powder, thus the electrochemical device has sufficient capacity and cycle performance, as well as excellent rate performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Polymer resin of formula (I) with polyethylene glycol side chain structure is new. n and m = positive integers; A = sulfone based groups of formulae (A1)-(A3), carbonyl based groups of formulae (A4)-(A6); X = 1, 2 or 3; B = substituted ethoxy polymer groups of formulae (B1)-(B3); y = 1-100; E = methylene of formula (E1), dimethyl methylene of formula (E2), di-trifluoromethyl methylene of formula (E3) or ether-di-yl of formula (E4). INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) Preparation of (I); (2) Use of (I) as a binder for preparing power storage electrode by dry method or wet method.
