NOVELTY - Aqueous silicon carbon cathode binder comprises 45-55 pts. wt. lithium acrylate, 1-49 pts. wt. unsaturated siloxane, 1-49 pts. wt. propylene monomer, 0.1-0.5 pts. wt. initiator and 100-400 pts. wt. water. USE - The binder is useful in the preparation of lithium-ion battery cathode. ADVANTAGE - The method: adopts siloxane functional group, which is hydrolyzed and reacts with the siloxy group on the surface of the cathode silicon material to form a stable chemical bond connection, which provides excellent bonding effect. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing aqueous silicon carbon cathode binder comprising mixing 45-55 pts. wt. lithium acrylate, 1-49 pts. wt. unsaturated siloxane, 1-49 pts. wt. acrylic monomer, and 100-400 pts. wt. water to obtain a raw material mixed emulsion, adding 0.1-0.5 pts. wt. initiator to the raw material mixed emulsion for polymerization reaction to obtain binder.
