USE - The method is useful for preparing functionallized graphene that is useful for preparing a lithium-ion battery anode material (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is capable of simply preparing the functionallized graphene with improved structural stability and high productivity thus providing the battery with good discharge capacity and cycle performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing functionallized graphene comprises uniformly mixing 1 g of Hummers graphite powder and 0.75 g of sodium nitrate to obtain a mixture, adding 34 ml of concentrated sulfuric acid to the mixture and then stirring under ice cooling, slowly adding 4.5 g of potassium permanganate to the mixture and then stirring for 2 hours, adding 10 ml of sulfuric acid having a concentration of 5% to the mixture and then stirring for 5 days, adding 3-5 ml of hydrogen peroxide to obtained solution and then stirring for 2 hours until no air bubbles are formed, washing the solution with nitric acid having a concentration of 10% for three times, then washing the solution with nitric acid having a concentration of 5% for two times and then washing with deionized water, drying the solution at 250 degrees C to obtain graphite oxide, grinding graphite oxide into powder, placing the graphite oxide powder in a quartz tube and then weighing, oxidizing the powder by supplying a mixed gas of argon gas and air or oxygen in volume ratio of 1:0.001-0.2, placing the quartz tube in a furnace and then heating at 300-1100 degrees C for 1-20 minutes to obtain functionalized graphene nanosheets, heating the nanosheets under mixed gas atmosphere of argon and hydrogen at 500-1000 degrees C for 0.5-10 hours, and reducing graphene nanosheets under mixed gas atmosphere of argon and hydrogen in a ratio of 95:5.
