▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Unitary graphene-based continuous graphitic fiber comprises at least 90 wt.% of graphene planes that are chemically bonded with one another having an inter-planar spacing d002 of 0.3354-0.4 nm as determined by X-ray diffraction and an oxygen content of 0.01-5 wt.%. The graphene planes are parallel to one another and parallel to a fiber axis direction and the graphitic fiber contains no core-shell structure, have no helically arranged graphene domains, and have a porosity level less than 5 vol.%. USE - The unitary graphene-based continuous graphitic fiber is useful in a fiber yarn or bundle (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The continuous graphitic fiber has: a cross-section that is circular, elliptical, rectangular, flat-shaped, or hollow; a diameter or thickness of 10-100 mu m or less than 10 mu m, preferably less than 100 nm; and an oxygen content of less than 1%, preferably no greater than 0.001%, an inter-graphene spacing of less than 0.345 nm, preferably less than 0.336 nm, a thermal conductivity of at least 1000 W/mK, preferably at least 1700 W/mK, a mosaic spread value no greater than 0.7, preferably no greater than 0.4 and/or an electrical conductivity no less than 2000 S/cm, preferably greater than 18000 S/cm, a physical density greater than 1.9 g/cm3, a Young's modulus greater than 600 GPa, and/or a tensile strength greater than 8 GPa. The continuous graphitic fiber exhibits a degree of graphitization no less than 40%, preferably no less than 80% and/or a mosaic spread value less than 0.7, preferably no greater than 0.4. The continuous graphitic fiber can be obtained using a cost-effective coagulation-free process.
