NOVELTY - Preparing graphene/solid carbon ball lithium ion cell cathode material comprises (i) preparing glucose aqueous solution, then adding in a reaction kettle, carrying out hydro-thermal reaction, cooling naturally, centrifuging, adjusting pH to 7, then drying, and calcining dried product to obtain solid carbon ball, (ii) dispersing the graphene oxide into deionized water, then adding ascorbic acid, solid carbon ball, where mass ratio of graphene oxide, ascorbic acid to solid carbon ball is 2-15:40-100:1-2, then stirring uniformly and then transferring into the reaction kettle, carrying out hydrothermal reaction at 160-240 degrees C for 6-24 hours, centrifuging and drying, and (iii) calcining the dried product under nitrogen atmosphere at a rate of 1-3 degrees C/minutes at 300-500 degrees C for 1-2 hours, and then keeping at 600-800 degrees C for 1-2 hours to obtain final product. USE - The material is useful as cathode material for lithium ion battery (claimed).
