NOVELTY - A positive electrode material comprises sodium-transition metal-metal oxide-fluorine. USE - Positive electrode material used for sodium ion battery in energy storage, power, and consumer batteries (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material can improve the working voltage and cycle performance of the layered material by selenium /tellurium fluorine ion co-doping, and further coating can improve the cycle performance again. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A positive electrode material comprises sodium-transition metal-metal oxide-fluorine of formula: NaaM1-xMexO2-bFb-A, where a is 0.65-1.0, b is 0-0.25 (excluding 0), x is 0-0.3 (excluding 0), M is one or more of iron, nickel, manganese, cobalt, and copper elements, Me is one or both of selenium and tellurium, and A is a coating material coated on surface of layered material.
