NOVELTY - Preparing self-assembling graphene powder comprises (i) dispersing graphene oxide in water to obtain 0.1-1 mg/ml graphene oxide dispersion; (ii) mixing the graphene oxide dispersion liquid with a reducing agent, adding nitrogen substance or sulfur substance and mixing to obtain mixed dispersion liquid, where the mass ratio of the nitrogen substance or sulfur substance to the graphene oxide is 0.1-2:1; and (iii) adjusting pH of the mixed dispersion liquid to 5-12 using a pH adjuster, reacting at 80-200 degrees C for 0.1-1 hour under sealed conditions, separating, washing, and freeze-drying. USE - The self-assembling graphene powder is useful in preparing graphene composite material. ADVANTAGE - The graphene powder has micron-particle size and porous microscopic three-dimensional structure and low reduction rate; and can be easily and uniformly loaded in high amount when compared to graphene gel or powder.
