NOVELTY - Preparing cation exchange resin comprises (i) adding dispersant into the pure aqueous solution, and uniformly stirring to obtain aqueous phase, (ii) uniformly stirring the styrene and adding divinylbenzene, epoxypropyl methacrylate, xylene, asbestos fiber and modified graphene to obtain oil phase, (iii) pouring the oil phase and aqueous phase into the container, stirring and heating to obtain copolymerized white ball, Soxhlet extracting the copolymerized white ball and adding pore-forming agent, extracting, washing and drying to obtain porous copolymerized white ball, (iv) adding the porous copolymerized white ball into sodium hydroxide for basic exchange, washing and drying to obtain the cation exchange resin, and (v) adding the chlorite into the jojoba oil and stirring uniformly, placing the cation exchange resin into the mixed solution of chlorite and jojoba oil for soaking. USE - The resin is useful for treating wastewater and waste gas. ADVANTAGE - The resin prevents iron ion in the waste water to form a covering layer of iron on the surface of the cation exchange resin.
