NOVELTY - Preparing multi-material optical fiber comprises (i) preparing cladding material into a rod-shaped to-be-convex-cavity material, (ii) placing the solution or dispersion in the cavity, and then drawing the optical fiber, (iii) fixing the cladding materials on the wire drawing device, and heating, (iv) adding the solution and dispersion, and (v) drawing from the opening end of the clamping material, and drawing to obtain optical fiber. USE - The method is useful for preparing multi-material optical fiber is useful in light, electricity, sound, heat, magnetic and other detecting and sensing functions. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, the solution is used as the buffer, can well ensure the dispersion of the fiber core, continuous, and the functional property is not damaged. It is not easy to introduce defect in the fiber core part of the optical fiber, and it is good for maintaining the stability and control of the wire drawing process.
