NOVELTY - Preparing oil-soluble graphene quantum dot comprises uniformly dispersing carbon source, lipophilic modified molecules, catalyst and solvent with boiling point not less than 180degrees Celsius in reaction vessel, reacting at 180-220degrees Celsius, where the catalyst is transition metal composite oxide, or alkali metal aluminum borate salt of a transition metal, and filtering at not less than 50degrees Celsius to obtain a solution containing an oil-solubilized graphene quantum dot. USE - The oil-soluble graphene quantum dot is useful in preparing antistatic coating additives, solar cell thin film transition layer additives, and lubricant additives (claimed) and in polymer coating or film, biological image and mark, electronic and optical device, energy storage medium and other fields. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare oil-soluble graphene quantum dot, which is finished by one-pot method, generates short period, high productivity dispersed in a solvent or a medium, and can be directly used in lubricating oil, polymer coating or film. The reaction process condition is mild, avoids the use of low boiling point solvent can be safety by the problem, at the same time, the process almost zero discharge, realizing the green production. The raw materials are common, easy to obtain, can be normal pressure reaction, simple process, easy large-scale industrial preparation.
