NOVELTY - A lithium secondary battery comprises anode, cathode, separator positioned between the anode and cathode, and an electrolyte. The anode comprises current collector, and an active material layer comprising carbon-based active material, silicon-carbon composite, binder, conductive material, and pores formed inside/outside the silicon-carbon composite. USE - Lithium secondary battery used as energy storage unit for electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles. ADVANTAGE - The lithium secondary battery has improved energy density by increasing the use ratio of silicon particles and minimizing the defects of silicon as negative electrode active material, prevents repetition of charging and discharging or deformation of the current collector due to external force due to the addition of carbon nanotubes and carbon nanofibers, and contains negative electrode with suppressed durability deterioration which occurs during charging/discharging. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of the lithium secondary battery, which involves using aqueous binder, nonaqueous binder and binders (B1) and (B2).
