NOVELTY - A graphene (135) is produced by adding metal catalyst in reaction chamber (100), adding hydrocarbon gas in reaction chamber, allowing metal catalyst and hydrocarbon gas to contact one another to produce a product, and dehydrogenating the product. USE - Production of graphene for graphene sheet manufacture (claimed). ADVANTAGE - Porous substrate is positioned within a chamber body in a horizontal manner with respect to a bottom surface of the pressure chamber, retaining graphene by the porous substrate such that graphene can be removed from the chamber body without being damaged, resulting in pure graphene sheet free of defects. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) reaction chamber for forming graphene comprising chamber body (105), inlet (110) configured to deliver metal catalyst and hydrocarbon gas to chamber body, outlet (115) configured to remove metal catalyst from chamber body, and porous substrate (120) positioned inside chamber body between inlet and outlet; (2) production of graphene which involves combining catalyst with additive, adding metal catalyst and additive into reaction chamber, evacuating any gas in reaction chamber, adding hydrocarbon gas into reaction chamber, adding solvent into reaction chamber, heating reaction chamber, allowing metal catalyst and hydrocarbon gas to contact one another to produce product, dehydrogenating product to produce graphene, removing metal catalyst from reaction chamber, removing solvent from reaction chamber, and collecting graphene on porous substrate in reaction chamber; and (3) graphene sheet prepared by the production method in which graphene sheet has substantially no defects.
