NOVELTY - Preparing carbon-coated alpha-nickel hydroxide nano-sheet involves mixing 0.1-3 g nickel source, 1-6 ml high-carbon chain aldehyde and 0. 1-8 g agent to 5-60 ml, adding the mixture to stirring for 0.5-0.5 hours to obtain a dispersion, reacting the dispersion at 120-160℃ for 2-12 hours, naturally cooling to room temperature after the reaction is completed, washing with water and ethanol for 3 times, drying for 5 hours at 60℃, and coating the material with carbon. USE - The method is useful for preparing carbon-coated alpha-nickel hydroxide nano-sheet, which is used as super capacitor electrode for super capacitor device. ADVANTAGE - The method provides a simple and easy to produce carbon-coated alpha-nickel hydroxide nano-sheet material by simple one-step coprecipitation method. The method is simple, easy to operate, it does not need special device, the cost is low and is suitable for large-scale preparation, it can satisfy for the requirement of the actual application. The carbon source of the method compared with carbon nano-tube and graphene is cheap and is easy to obtain, glutaraldehyde and aldehyde chemical industry large amount and low cost, using the method to prepare the carbon coated alpha-nickel hydroxide nano sheet material as super-electrode material exhibits good electrochemical performance.
