NOVELTY - Colloidal electrode comprises a current collector and a colloidal material layer set on the current collector surface. The colloidal material layer comprises transition metal salts, conductive carbon materials and adhesive. The active colloidal ions are formed between the conductive carbon materials. USE - The colloidal electrode is useful as a cathode in supercapacitor battery (claimed) e.g. lithium-ion battery, sodium-ion battery and metal-air battery. ADVANTAGE - The colloidal electrode improves the utilization rate of cations of electrode materials to form an energy storage device with both high power and energy density. The active colloidal ion diffusion between conductive carbon materials is rapid, and the maximum utilization of redox active cations is achieved under the conditions of thermodynamics and kinetics and hence can completely utilize multi-valence metal cation of transition metal salt of multi-electron redox reaction and completely releases the stored potential electric energy.
