NOVELTY - Spherical nano-graphene material comprises 30-50 pts. wt. graphene oxide, 10-20 pts. wt. bisphenol A type diglycidyl ether, 15-25 pts. wt. polyvinyl pyrrolidone, 5-10 pts. wt. modifier, 1-5 pts. wt. catalyst, 2-5 pts. wt. catalytic auxiliary agent, 8-15 pts. wt. metal oxide, and 80-100 pts. wt. organic solvent. USE - The material is useful for cathode material of lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material has diameter of 1-10 nm, first discharge specific capacity of more than 1350 mAh/g, coulombic efficiency of more than 98.5%, and capacity retention rate of more than above 90% at 1C100 cycles. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the material, comprising (i) grinding graphene oxide, mixing with modifier, and modifying to obtain modified graphene oxide; (ii) adding the catalyst, catalytic auxiliary agent and metal oxide into water for ion complexing, and spray-drying to obtain particles; (iii) dispersing modified graphene oxide and bisphenol A type diglycidyl ether in water, ultrasonically dissolving, and spray-drying to obtain spherical graphene powder; and (iv) adding particles and spherical graphene powder into organic solvent, and stirring uniformly at room temperature, adding polyvinyl pyrrolidone into organic solvent, and heating at 1200-1500 degrees C for 1-2 hours under a dual atmosphere of helium and nitrogen to completely evaporate organic solvent.
