NOVELTY - Preparation of bismuth tungstate (Bi2WO6)-reduced graphene oxide (rGO) visible light catalyst comprises dissolving bismuth nitrate, sodium tungstate and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide in 80 ml distilled water, stirring solution for 1 hours while magnetic and stirring solution uniformly; moving product obtained from first step to reaction kettle, hydrothermally reacting at 160 degrees C for 24 hours, centrifuging and washing, and placing in drying box for drying treatment to obtain Bi2WO6; dissolving Bi2WO6 in 100 ml distilled water, dissolving GO in 20 ml distilled water, sonicating for 1 hour, dropping GO solution slowly into Bi2WO6 solution, and stirring mixed solution for 1 hour; adding hydrazine hydrate to mixed solution at mass ratio of hydrazine hydrate and GO of 7:10, and stirring for 12 minutes at 95 degrees C; and cooling solution, centrifuging, washing and drying. USE - The method is used for preparing bismuth tungstate-reduced graphene oxide visible light catalyst used in photocatalytic degradation of toluene. ADVANTAGE - The method adjusts content of GO, and improves ability of Bi2WO6-rGO in photocatalytic degradation of toluene.
