NOVELTY - Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction catalyst electrode comprises carbon catalyst particles doped with a hetero element having an unshared electron pair, and a binder containing a nonionic conductive polymer. USE - Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction catalyst electrode for preparing electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction apparatus, and reducing electrochemical carbon dioxide (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction catalyst electrode can be self-activated by selectively adsorbing and stabilizing metal cation impurities present in an electrolyte solution at a single atom level, thus improves catalyst performance and durability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction catalyst electrode, which involves dispersing a binder including carbon catalyst particles and nonionic conductive polymers doped with heteroelements having a non-shared electron pair in a solvent to provide a mixed solution, snd applying the mixed solution on a substrate to provide a catalyst electrode.
