NOVELTY - Positive electrode catalyst comprises a catalytic material, a conductive material and a binder in a mass ratio of 10-45, 20-70 and 5-70, where the catalytic material is silver, silver chloride, manganese dioxide, copper (II) chloride or perovskite. The conductive material is layered graphite, spherical graphite, activated carbon, acetylene black, carbon black, carbon nanotubes, carbon fibers, or graphene. The binder is polytetrafluoroethylene, polyvinylidene fluoride, carboxymethyl cellulose, styrene butadiene rubber, polyacrylic acid, polyacrylonitrile, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose or polyvinyl alcohol. USE - Positive electrode catalyst for a magnesium alloy air battery. ADVANTAGE - The positive electrode catalyst is suitable for mass production, simplifies the preparation process of the metal-air battery cathode, improves the production efficiency, and reduces the production cost. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing positive electrode catalyst, which involves: (A) selecting catalytic material, conductive material and binder; (B) mixing the selected catalytic material and conductive material; (C) adding the mixed catalytic substance and conductive substance of sulfur to absolute ethanol and stirring to obtain a mixture; and (D) adding the selected binder to the mixture while stirring to obtain a uniformly mixed positive electrode catalyst.
