NOVELTY - A polycarbonate composition comprises 70-99 pts. wt., preferably 83-98 pts. wt., more preferably 94-98 pts. wt. polycarbonate, 1-30 pts. wt., preferably 2-17 pts. wt., more preferably 2.5-5 pts. wt. ionic liquid, and 0.005-1 pt. wt., 0.01-0.5 pt. wt., more preferably 0.01-0.025 pt. wt. reduced graphene. The polycarbonate composition is prepared by mixing reduced graphene and ionic liquid, obtaining a reduced graphene/ionic liquid solution with concentration of 0.2-5 wt.%, ultrasonically dispersing reduced graphene/ionic liquid solution, adding dispersed reduced graphene/ionic liquid solution to deionized water, stirring, adding an emulsifier and an initiator, reacting, drying, obtaining reduced graphene/ionic polymer microspheres, mixing reduced graphene/ionic polymer microspheres with polycarbonate and optionally additive in a high-speed mixer, extruding and granulating obtained premix by twin-screw extruder, and obtaining polycarbonate/ionic polymer/reduced graphene blended pellets. USE - Polycarbonate composition is used for preparing high-dielectric and low-loss material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The polycarbonate composition improves dielectric constant and reduces dielectric loss of the material.
