NOVELTY - A graphene-based high energy lithium ion battery cathode material is prepared by taking 32.2 g natural graphite powder and 14.8 g sodium nitrate, cold bath cooling, adding 24.6 mL concentrated sulfuric acid, reacting, adding 8.2 g potassium permanganate, reacting at 30 degrees C, heating at 30-40 degrees C, stirring for 1-3 hours, adding 5.2 mL distilled water, reacting at 80-100 degrees C for 30 minutes, cooling to 40-60 degrees C, adding 2:3 volume ratio of hydrogen peroxide and distilled water mixed solution, stirring, centrifuging, removing supernatant, washing solid with 60 mL distilled water, hydrochloric acid and ethanol, adding petroleum ether, drying, adding melamine according to mass ratio of 1:1-20:1, carrying out hydrothermal reaction at 150-200 degrees C for 6-20 hours, filtering, washing with water and ethanol, drying, calcining under hydrogen/argon as atmosphere, dispersed in aqueous solution, freeze drying, introducing argon gas, and calcining.
