NOVELTY - Preparing graphene-nanosilver based feather material comprises (i) mixing 0.01-100 g/liter silver nitrate aqueous solution with 0.01-100 g/liter graphene oxide aqueous solution, where mass ratio of the silver nitrate and graphene oxide is 1:1-1:10, adding bird's nest slowly, stirring evenly under ultrasonic condition, placing in a reaction vessel, reacting at 160-220 degrees C for 30-600 minutes, taking out, washing repeatedly with ethanol, centrifuging, and drying to obtain a graphene-nanosilver composite; and (ii) redispersing graphene-nanosilver composite material in deionized water to prepare 0.01-10 % graphene-nanosilver colloidal solution, sucking graphene-nanosilver colloidal solution into the disposable syringe, injecting slowly into the feather shaft of the feather until it fills the cavity and drying under air at room temperature for 24 hours. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene-nanosilver based feather material. ADVANTAGE - The method modifies feather to impart certain antibacterial, thermal and mechanical properties and does not affect inherent lightness, toughness and elasticity of feather.
