NOVELTY - Method for preparing a functionally graded insulator involves (a) mixing and configuring a preset ratio of filler material, matrix material and curing agent to form a composite material, (b) pouring the composite material into an insulator mold with a pre-installed metal electrode, (c) applying a voltage to the metal electrode, and (d) cutting off the voltage applied to the metal electrode after a time is elapsed, and (e) heating the insulating mold to form a functionally graded insulating portion. USE - The method used for preparing functionally graded insulator. ADVANTAGE - The method obtains insulator with different dielectric properties.
