NOVELTY - A composite material comprises 5-7 pts. wt. silicon dioxide, 7-12 pts. wt. graphene oxide, 15-20 pts. wt. chitosan, 11-17 pts. wt. polyacrylamide, 3-7 pts. wt. sodium alginate, 1-3 pts. wt. sodium polyoxyethylene ether sulfate, 2-4 pts. wt. polyethylene glycol lauric diester, 1-4 pts. wt. glutaraldehyde, and 15-20 pts. wt. magnetic zeolite nanopowder. The magnetic zeolite nanopowder is prepared by modifying zeolite with acid, crushing into fine powder, adding ferroferric oxide particles, crushing, and sieving through 300-500 mesh powder. USE - Composite material used for treating heavy metal mercury-containing wastewater (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite material has high porosity, high specific surface area and strong and quick adsorption ability, and does not cause secondary pollution to environment.
