NOVELTY - Graphene coating is provided on a carbon steel substrate by providing carbon steel substrate, heating carbon steel substrate in oxygen-free chamber in the presence of a carbon source to greater than or equal to 800 degrees C to obtain a heated carbon steel substrate, and decreasing surface temperature of heated carbon steel substrate to less than or equal to 700 degrees C at a cooling rate of greater than or equal to 1 degrees C/s to obtain cooled graphene-coated carbon steel substrate. USE - Providing graphene coating on a carbon steel substrate. ADVANTAGE - The graphene coating reduces corrosion rate by 54.8%, which confirms the good anti-corrosion ability of the as-grown graphene coating.
