NOVELTY - Preparing self-supporting graphene oxide paper comprises (1) dispersing graphite oxide in water and then adding surface active agent and carrying out ultrasonic process, adding hydrazine monohydrate in the obtained graphite oxide dispersed liquid and then heating, (2) adding para aminobenzoic acid and isoamyl nitrite in the obtained reduced graphite oxide suspension and carrying out hydroxylation treatment, and (3) filtering the obtained graphene oxide dispersed liquid and then washing and freeze-drying. USE - The method is useful for preparing self-supporting graphene oxide paper (claimed), which is useful in composite material and super capacitor. ADVANTAGE - The method is capable of preparing the self-supporting graphene oxide paper with good mechanical property, high purity, uniform flatness, and controllable thickness. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing self-supporting graphene oxide paper comprises (1) dispersing graphite oxide in water at room temperature and then adding surface active agent and carrying out ultrasonic process to obtain 0.5-5 mg/ml of graphite oxide dispersed liquid, adding 1-5 ml of hydrazine monohydrate in the graphite oxide dispersed liquid and then heating in an oil bath at 90-120 degrees C for 5-24 hours to obtain reduced graphite oxide suspension, (2) reducing the oil bath temperature to 80-90 degrees C, then adding para aminobenzoic acid and isoamyl nitrite in the reduced graphite oxide suspension and carrying out hydroxylation treatment for 10 hours to obtain graphene oxide dispersed liquid, (3) filtering the graphene oxide dispersed liquid and then washing with water, freeze-drying the graphene oxide to obtain graphene oxide powder, and (4) dispersing the graphene oxide powder in a solvent to obtain 0.1-5 mg/ml of graphite oxide dispersed liquid and then carrying out ultrasonic process to obtain reduced graphite oxide dispersed liquid, filtering the reduced graphite oxide dispersed liquid under reduced pressure using a filter membrane to obtain a reduced graphite oxide thin film, and then drying the reduced graphite oxide thin film. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the self-supporting graphene oxide paper obtained by the method.
