NOVELTY - The device has a heat pipe holding an envelope to interface with a hot end and to run through a cold plate. The envelope includes an aligned graphene structure that is coated with copper or aluminum material. A truss type structure is arranged in a center part of the device and is made from polymeric material. The heat pipe is made form boron nitride, graphene or thermally conductive ceramic oxides. USE - Thermal transfer device for use in a battery system in a hybrid or plug in electric vehicle. ADVANTAGE - The device can capture 1.6 kilo watt so as to drastically reduce system complexity by eliminating need of an electric high voltage heater, thus reducing manufacturing cost of the device, reducing mass of the device and improving overall vehicle efficiency.
