NOVELTY - Preparing sulfonated grapheme comprises (i) mixing graphene oxide aqueous solution and glucosamine, and adjusting the pH value to be greater than 8, and reacting at 40-100 degrees C, carrying out ultrasonication for 4-12 hours, suction filtration, washing, and freeze drying to obtain saccharified graphene powder, (ii) ultrasonically dispersing the saccharified graphene obtained above into a dichloromethane solution to obtain saccharified graphene dispersion, adding chlorosulfonic acid to the dispersion, stirring reaction, and washing and freeze-drying. USE - The sulfonated graphene is useful in energy storage (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: improves the abundance of the hydrophilic structure in the sulfonated graphene, improve the dispersion of sulfonated graphene in various solvent systems; and sulfonated graphene has high capacity and excellent stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for sulfonated graphene prepared by the preparation method.
