▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Method for producing reduced graphene oxide from coal involves (a) thermally processing coal at a temperature of at least 300℉, (b) oxidizing the thermally processed coal to form coal oxide, and (c) forming reduced graphene oxide from the coal oxide, where the reduced graphene oxide comprises less than 15 atomic% impurity atoms. USE - The method is used for producing reduced graphene oxide from coal and for producing a synthetic graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method reuses the byproduct, has improved efficiency, improves the graphene formation and reduces the defects in the coal, adjust the chemical, electrical, and/or physical properties of the synthetic graphene, and is cost-effective. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a synthetic graphene formed from an amount of coal comprising: (i) 0.1-15 atomic% dopant atoms, where the dopant atoms are derived from the coal; or (ii) 0.1-15 atomic% impurity atoms, the impurity atoms are derived from the coal.
