▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - A fique fiber composition comprises 30 vol.% fiber-functionalized graphene oxide and 70 vol.% hardened epoxy resin containing 13 wt.% epoxy resin and hardener (in total). The fiber-functionalized graphene oxide contains 0.5% fique fiber-reinforced graphene oxide nanolayer. USE - Composition used for multilayer ballistic shields for protecting against firing of rifle with ammunition of high impact power (all claimed) in personal vests, and military vehicles. ADVANTAGE - The composition provides lightweight composite having reduced thickness, at low cost. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of the composition, which involves applying silicone grease release agent to the inner surface of the mold, preparing the fique fibers, functionalizing the fique fibers with graphene oxide, preparing 30 vol.% fique fibers based on the composite, pouring the epoxy resin into the metallic matrix until the bottom of the matrix is completely wet, gradually adding the fibers functionalized with graphene oxide together with the epoxy resin, ensuring all the fibers are wetted by the resin, pressing the mixture at room temperature using a hydraulic press with 5 tons of force for 24 hours, demolding the composite plate, and assembling the multilayer ballistic shield.
