NOVELTY - Polystyrene modified cable material comprises 8-15 pts. wt. ceramic particles, 0.001-0.003 pt. wt. graphene, 10-15 pts. wt. modifier, 20-30 pts. wt. polyethylene, 35-55 pts. wt. polystyrene, 0.3-0.8 pt. wt. coupling agent and 0.1-0.3 pt. wt. cross-linking agent. The modifier is mixture of ethyl orthosilicate and benzoic acid. The polyethylene polymerization degree is 600-1000. The polystyrene is polystyrene having a degree of polymerization of 1000-1800. The coupling agent is vinylsilane. The crosslinker is p-phenyltriisopropenoxysilane. USE - Polystyrene modified cable material. ADVANTAGE - The material improves wear resistance, retains good processability and increases cable life in high wear environments. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the polystyrene modified cable material comprising treating ceramic particles with coupling agent, coating with modifier, mixing coated ceramic particles, graphene, polyethylene, polystyrene and cross-linking agent and extruding.
