NOVELTY - Producing graphene oxide powder, comprises (a) oxidizing graphite to form oxidized graphite, (b) mixing the oxidized graphite with water-soluble polymer, and dispersing and peeling the oxidized graphite through cation-phi interaction to form cation-reactive oxidized graphene dispersion solution, and (c) lyophilizing the cationic-reactive oxidative graphene dispersion solution to form solid oxide graphene having oxygen functional groups on its surface. USE - The method is useful for producing graphene oxide powder. ADVANTAGE - The method increases dispersion stability of graphene oxide through freeze drying of water-soluble polymer. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for graphene oxide powder having oxygen functional group on surface comprising cationic-reactive oxidative graphene dispersion solution produced by mixing graphene oxide with water-soluble polymer, dispersing and peeling the graphene oxide through cation-phi interaction to form cation-reactive oxidized graphene dispersion solution, and lyophilizing.
