NOVELTY - Preparation of 2,3-dichloropyridine by chlorination comprises reacting 3-aminopyridine, 20-35 wt.% hydrochloric acid and 20-30 wt.% hydrogen peroxide in the presence of graphene oxide to obtain 2-chloro-3-aminopyridine and converting 2-chloro-3-aminopyridine into 2,3-dichloropyridine. USE - The method is used for preparation of 2,3-dichloropyridine by chlorination. ADVANTAGE - The method reduces formation of 2,6-dichloro-3-aminopyridine and concentration and dosage of hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide, improves selectivity of 2-position chlorination and has high quality, high yield and good environmental protection and economy,
