NOVELTY - Preparing a modified graphene oxide composite aerogel type heavy metal ion adsorbent involves preparing modified graphene oxide composite hydrosol by adding 4-6 pts. wt. polyethylene glycol acrylate and 6-8 pts. wt. polyether macromonomer to 390-420 pts. wt. graphene oxide dispersion liquid, stirring it uniformly, heating it to 70-85 degrees C, adding 18-22 pts. wt. acrylic acid carboxylate, 5-7 pts. wt. cationic monomer, 0.5-1 pts. wt. ammonium persulfate and 50-80 pts. wt. water, dripping it for 1.5-2 hours, and reacting it for 2-3 hours to obtain modified graphene oxide intercalation composite hydrosol. The composite hydrosol is maintained at 60-70 degrees C under stirring condition, and is added with 6-8 pts. wt. hydrogel, 4-6 pts. wt. polyethylene glycol acrylate and 5-7 pts. wt. polyetheramine, stirred continuously to form a uniform graphene oxide hydrosol, stirring is stopped, heated to 90-95 degrees C for 3-4 hours, and cooled to obtain modified graphene oxide composite hydrogel. USE - Method for preparing a modified graphene oxide composite aerogel type heavy metal ion adsorbent for adsorbing metal ion, such as lead (II) positive ion, cadmium (II) positive ion, chromium (III) positive ion and copper (II) positive ion in industrial wastewater (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare a modified graphene oxide composite aerogel type heavy metal ion adsorbent, which is green, environment-friendly and used repeatedly, has stable structure, good strength and water resistance stability, fast adsorption rate, high adsorption capacity, easy recycling, and number of regeneration is more than 50 times. The modified graphene oxide composite aerogel is prepared by freezing and freeze-drying modified graphene oxide composite hydrogel for 24-26 hours to obtain the modified graphene oxide composite aerogel. The adsorbent is prepared by immersing it composite aerogel in graphene oxide sheet mixed solution for 30-40 minutes, drained, kept at 150-180 degrees C for 2-3 hours for high temperature activation treatment, and cooled to obtain final product.
