NOVELTY - The invention claims a terahertz wave converter based on graphene super-surface. The converter through flexible control of the graphene Fermi level, can realize the fast conversion from 90 % to 10 % of the transmittance from 90 % to 10 % in the fixed frequency point of the terahertz wave under the condition of setting the external bias. The modulator is composed of three-layer structure; the respectively is the medium layer in the middle; the hollow cross-shaped graphene layer of the top layer and the bottom layer. The new structure through the phase coupling the upper and lower layers of graphene, on the basis of realizing plasma induced transparency, realizing a fast conversion of terahertz wave from high transmission to low transmission at the fixed frequency point.
