NOVELTY - Preparing nitrogen and phosphorus doped graphene sheets, comprises adding bentonite into tetramethyl ammonium bromide solution, stirring, and aging to obtain tetramethylammonium bromide modified bentonite suspension; adding 4-dimethylaminopyridine and N-butyl phosphate into tetramethylammonium bromide modified bentonite suspension, stirring, removing, washing to obtain modified bentonite powder; heating, calcining, and cooling; adding the calcined powder into hydrofluoric acid solution, stirring, precipitating, and bake drying; and heating the resulting and cooling. USE - The method is useful for preparing nitrogen and phosphorus doped graphene sheets (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method uses simple materials, and has mild conditions. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing nitrogen and phosphorus doped graphene sheets, comprises (i) taking 1 g bentonite for 2-3 mmol tetramethyl ammonium bromide, passing over 20-50 mesh sieve, adding the bentonite into 0.1-1 mass% tetramethyl ammonium bromide solution, stirring at 60-70 degrees C in the water bath for 5-6 hours, aging for 12-24 hours, to obtain tetramethylammonium bromide modified bentonite suspension; (ii) taking 1 g bentonite for 0.5-1.5 mmol 4-dimethylaminopyridine and 0.5-1.5 mmol n-butyl phosphate, adding 4-dimethylaminopyridine and N-butyl phosphate into tetramethylammonium bromide modified bentonite suspension, stirring at 60-70 degrees C in the water bath for 6-8 hours, removing the precipitate from the liquid, washing the precipitate with deionized water 2-3 times, drying, grinding, and passing over 20-40 mesh sieve to obtain modified bentonite powder; (iii) placing the bentonite powder in a vacuum furnace, heating to 400-600 degrees C, and calcining for 2-4 hours, and cooling to room temperature; (iv) adding the calcined powder into 5-10 ml (20-40 mass%) hydrofluoric acid solution, stirring under nitrogen atmosphere for 3-4 hours, precipitating, and bake drying; and (v) heating the resulting product under vacuum to 2000-2500 degrees C, for 3-6 hours, and cooling.
