NOVELTY - Preparation of modified graphene includes dissolving graphite oxide in water, adding aqueous ammonia, cooling, filtering, washing, and drying to obtain hydroxyl-containing purified graphene; adding gamma -carotene and cis-butadiene anhydride to organic solvent, reacting, adding epichlorohydrin and ammonium bromide, heat-refluxing, cooling, adding excess sodium hydroxide, and washing to obtain long-chain compound; and adding hydroxyl-containing purified graphene, reacting with sodium hydroxide, adding tetrabutylammonium bromide, refluxing, cooling, adding excess sodium hydroxide, and washing. USE - Method for preparation of modified graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple and environment-friendly, can improve dispersibility of graphene, helps improve biocompatibility of graphene, and it has wide variety sources. The modified graphene has adjustable viscosity and good processing performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of modified graphene comprises: (A) dissolving graphite oxide in water, adding aqueous ammonia while stirring, cooling to room temperature, filtering precipitate washing, and drying to obtain hydroxyl-containing purified graphene; (B) adding 22-27 pts. wt. gamma -carotene and 9-11 pts. wt. cis-butadiene anhydride to organic solvent at liquid ratio of 31:60-38:60 g/mL, mixing, and reacting to 130-170 degrees C for 3-5 hours under nitrogen atmosphere; and adding 90-95 pts. wt. epichlorohydrin and 0.6-0.8 pts. wt. ammonium bromide, heat-refluxing for 5-7 hours, cooling to 65-75 degrees C, adding excess sodium hydroxide, and washing to obtain long-chain compound; and (C) adding hydroxyl-containing purified graphene at molar ratio of 1:1, mixing with sodium hydroxide at molar ratio of 1/6, reacting to 130-170 degrees C for 3-5 hours, adding 0.1-1 pt. wt. tetrabutylammonium bromide, refluxing for 5-10 hours, cooling to 65-75 degrees C, adding excess sodium hydroxide, and washing.
