NOVELTY - Method for preparing delignified balsa wood/phase change composite material, involves (a) adding balsa wood logs to mixed solution of sodium hydroxide and sodium bisulfite, (b) heating the solution to remove the lignin in the balsa wood logs, (c) washing the product with deionized water, adding to not less than 30 wt.% aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution, and heating to obtain a solid product, (d) drying the solid product in a freeze dryer to obtain delignified balsa wood, (e) stirring the phase change material, and mixing the thermally conductive filler in a hot water bath, (f) vacuum impregnating the mixture into the delignified balsa wood, or the phase change material is vacuum impregnated into the delignified balsa wood to obtain the composite material. USE - The method is useful for preparing delignified balsa wood/phase change composite material. ADVANTAGE - The method improves the heat storage and thermal response capabilities of the composite phase, and is economical, light weight, non-toxic, and has high heat storage capacity, anisotropic heat conduction and excellent cycle stability, and adopts simple preparation process.
