NOVELTY - The improvement method of lubrication property and thermal conductivity of lubricating oil using oxidized graphene involves (i) sequentially adding potassium thiosulfate, phosphorus pentoxide and concentrated sulfuric acid to a flask, dissolving, adding graphite powder, stirring, adding deionized water, filtering, washing, and drying to obtain pre-oxidized product, (ii) adding pre-oxidized product to concentrated sulfuric acid, slowly adding potassium permanganate in an ice bath, reacting, adding deionized water, pouring into a flask, adding deionized water and hydrogen peroxide. USE - Improvement of lubrication property and thermal conductivity of lubricating oil using oxidized graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method improves the lubrication property and thermal conductivity of lubricating oil using oxidized graphene effectively by simple process, with high safety. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The improvement method of lubrication property and thermal conductivity of lubricating oil using oxidized graphene involves (i) sequentially adding potassium thiosulfate, phosphorus pentoxide and concentrated sulfuric acid to a flask, dissolving at 80 degrees C, adding graphite powder, stirring at 80 degrees C for 4.5 hours, adding deionized water, filtering, washing for several times with deionized water, and drying at 50 degrees C for 24 hours to obtain pre-oxidized product, (ii) adding pre-oxidized product to concentrated sulfuric acid, slowly adding potassium permanganate in an ice bath, reacting at 35 degrees C for 2 hours, slowly adding deionized water, pouring into a flask, adding deionized water and hydrogen peroxide, (iii) acid-washing the oxidized product with 10% hydrochloric acid for one week, dialyzing in deionized water for 10 days using a dialysis bag to obtain oxidized graphene product, (iv) mixing oxidized graphene, ethanol, and octadecylamine, reacting, suction filtering the resulting product, washing with ethanol, and drying.
