NOVELTY - Cationic polymer-functionalized platinum trioxide-loaded graphene nanocomposite is prepared by ultrasonically mixing cationic polymer, graphene and distilled water, stirring, filtering, washing, vacuum drying to obtain surface-functionalized graphene, separately ultrasonically dispersing chloroplatinate in polyethylene glycol and ethylene glycol mixture to obtain yellow platinate solution, mixing platinate solution and surface-functionalized graphene, stirring, reacting, cooling, filtering, washing, and dispersing in ethyl alcohol. USE - Preparation of cationic polymer-functionalized platinum trioxide-loaded graphene nanocomposite for catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The preparation of cationic polymer-functionalized platinum trioxide-loaded graphene nanocomposite is mild, easy to control, low cost, simple, convenient, suitable for industrialized production, and has product with high loading rate of metal particles and good electrocatalytic activity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Cationic polymer-functionalized platinum trioxide-loaded graphene nanocomposite is prepared by ultrasonically mixing cationic polymer, graphene and distilled water with mass ratio 0.5-3:15-20:1000-2000 for 0.5 hours, stirring at room temperature for 24 hours, filtering, washing twice with distilled water, vacuum drying at 40 degrees C for 4-8 hours to obtain surface-functionalized graphene, separately ultrasonically dispersing chloroplatinate in polyethylene glycol and ethylene glycol mixture with volume ratio 1-3:1 in which ratio of chloroplatinate and mixed solution is 0.05-0.08 g: 100 ml to obtain yellow platinate solution, mixing platinate solution and surface-functionalized graphene with mass ratio of 1-5:20, stirring for 30 minutes, reacting in microwave oven at 140 degrees C for 3-6 minutes, naturally cooling to room temperature, filtering through sand core funnel #6, washing 10 times with absolute ethyl alcohol and deionized water, and dispersing in ethyl alcohol. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a X-ray diffraction spectrum of diallyldimethylammonium chloride-functionalized platinum-loaded graphene nanocomposite with characteristic peaks for carbon and platinum.
