NOVELTY - Preparing graphene by redox reaction comprises preparing graphite oxide modified by Hummer method, taking crystalline natural graphite flakes and mixing with a strong acid solution, adding potassium nitrate, placing in a water bath, adding a strong oxidant, dispersing in water, terminating the reaction, filtering or washing, vacuum drying to obtain graphite oxide solid, dispersing in water to obtain graphite oxide suspension, ultrasonically dispersing, stripping and oscillating to obtain stable graphene oxide suspension, adding an alkali, a reducing agent and a surfactant, and reacting. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene by redox reaction. ADVANTAGE - The method optimizes the preparation process and conditions, produces high quality graphene with single layer, high conductive performance and high yield; and is economical and is suitable for industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene by redox reaction comprises (a) preparing graphite oxide modified by Hummer method, taking crystalline natural graphite flakes (15-50 ml/g) and mixing with a strong acid solution, adding potassium nitrate, where the mass ratio of potassium nitrate and graphite is 1-2:1, placing in a water bath at 0-20 degrees C, adding a strong oxidant, where the mass ratio of the strong oxidant and graphite is 2-6:1, increasing the temperature to 40-70 degrees C for 1-3 hours, where the amount of graphite is 30-80 ml/g based on the volume of distilled water, dispersing in distilled water at 75-95 degrees C for 10-30 minutes, terminating the reaction, filtering or performing centrifugal washing until the pH of the graphite oxide system is 5-7, vacuum drying at 40-80 degrees C to obtain graphite oxide solid, (b) dispersing the graphite oxide solid in water to obtain graphite oxide suspension with a concentration of 2-7 mg/ml, ultrasonically dispersing the suspension, stripping and oscillating in an oscillator to achieve single layer stripping and to obtain uniform and stable graphene oxide suspension, and (c) adjusting pH to 9-10 using an alkali, adding a reducing agent, where the mass ratio of the reducing agent and graphene oxide suspension is 2-10:1, adding a surfactant in a ratio of 0.2:1, reacting at 90-96 degrees C for 20 minutes to 3 hours to obtain uniform and stable graphene dispersion solution.
