NOVELTY - Producing an electrically conductive conductor strand (1) with at least one carbon conductor (3), comprises: providing a conductor strand as an intermediate product including at least one carbon conductor, preferably graphite, pyrolytic graphite, graphene, graphene and/or carbon nanotubes; introducing the conductor strand and at least one intercalation substance (2), preferably at least one metal halide or at least one organoalkali metal, into a gas phase or liquid phase of a reactor volume (5), where the intercalation substance is required to intercalate at least one carbon conductor into the material; and heat treating the conductor strand, where the reactor volume is brought to a process temperature for initiating intercalation (4), in which atoms or molecules of intercalation substance are embedded in the material of respective carbon conductor, preferably into a carbon structural form of carbon conductor, or in the area between the layers of multi-layer carbon structural form. USE - The conductors strands are useful in slots of an electrical machine for increasing the power of electrical machine. ADVANTAGE - The method: is carried out in a simple and easy manner; achieves increased electrical conductivity of carbon conductors and material stability, compared to conventional methods, which are temperature-resistant up to at least 200 degrees C; accelerates intercalation since intercalation substance penetrates more quickly into conductor material of conductor strand; enables to arrange flexible conductor strand in slots of an electrical machine with high slot filling factor, such that power of electrical machine is increased; at least partially reverses volume-increasing expansion of conductor strand during intercalation without addition of water vapor; reduces conductor cross section without affecting electrical conductor resistance; enables doping with aluminum fluoride that is stable up to at least 300 degrees C, not sensitive to moisture, does not crystallize and remains amorphous and finely distributed and intercalated in conductor assembly; removes any intercalated trichlorobromomethane (boiling point 105 degrees C.) or (boiling point 76.7 degrees C) to be removed from the conductor assembly.
