NOVELTY - A composite of boron-lead phosphate glass doped with nanocarbon comprises a mixture of three glassy network formers comprising 0-50 mol% boron trioxide, 10-30 mol% phosphorus pentoxide, and 40-70 mol% lead oxide, glassy network modifier comprising 5-15 mol% lithium oxide and 2-20 mol% zinc oxide, 3-15 mol% rare-earth oxide comprising terbium oxide, dysprosium oxide, cerium oxide, europium(II) oxide, praseodymium oxide, neodymium(III) oxide, samarium oxide, gadolinium oxide, holmium oxide, erbium(III) oxide, thulium oxide and ytterbium(III) oxide, and 3-20 mol% graphene-type nanocarbon, graphene oxide or nanographite. USE - Composite of boron-lead phosphate glass doped with nanocarbon used for forming optical fibers or laser fibers.
